About Us
In 2006 we started out selling greeting cards and by summer 2010, we had them in 17 retail stores across the kootenays. In 2008 we began donating $1.00 per sale of each pet card to the local animal shelter, PAWS http://paws-crestonbc.org/ .
Spring of 2010 we decided to carry a few craft supplies as I always seemed to have trouble finding the things I needed - so we decided to carry a few products that I believed were good quality items. We started out stocking and selling all Scor-Pal products and by March of 2011 we were retailers of Ranger Ink as well as a variety of other items we thought was a must for card makers and scrapbookers.
During my searches for card making supplies in the summer of 2010, I kept thinking of a dream I have always had of having a gift basket business. I found myself researching other products, gift basket related. I felt what I wanted to do with them and my goals were rather unique. I began to research a large variety of products & suppliers in hopes that we could offer our customers quality, as well as fair retail pricing. Plus, I wanted the baskets made from wood, more of a natural theme - I wanted "crates".
One evening in August, 2010 I mentioned to my husband Bill all my thoughts on this and within minutes he had gone into his workshop and come back out with the "crate" I had envisioned for our baskets. By December of 2010 Bill had pushed out over 150 crates from his little shop and hasn't stopped since.
In 2012, we were approached by our local tea supplier to take over Creston Tea, as there were no other loose leaf tea suppliers in Creston at that time - well here we are today stocking over 130 types of tea from suppliers such as Metropolitan Tea and other quality Canadian tea suppliers.
Through research and experience, both Bill and I are dedicated to offer our customers top quality service, as well as the best products we can find. We also decided to introduce gift bags that come with tissue and ribbon if people want to fill their own bags rather than purchase a gift basket, as we felt it important to give our customers that choice. It is very important to us that our customers are happy with the gift that they are giving.
I feel blessed that Bill has not only supported me in this venture but has become involved in it as it's grown into something we do together. It's great working with my best friend - and he has some pretty awesome ideas he has added to them as well. His sense of humor quite often spills into his baskets, which only makes this business better than ever - Everyone needs to laugh, love and smile!
